BIOGRAPHY
Lee focused his undergraduate studies in law and biology and went on to complete a Master’s degree in Biology, concentrating on molecular biology and biochemistry while he concurrently attended law school at different university. While enrolled in both graduate programs, Lee pioneered a focus on the merge-point of law, science and business. While in law school, Lee founded the Intellectual Property Society and was the Managing Editor for the law journal. Lee currently teaches Data Privacy and Data Security classes in law school.
Lee’s legal experience is very diverse and enables him to serve his clients with years of professional experience in each area under his belt. For example, Lee has served as a manager in the legal department of a pharmaceutical company; an attorney in a large, nation-wide law firm; both a prosecuting and defense civil litigation attorney; a government attorney; and most recently a law professor. His experience includes intellectual property; health-related benefits; fast track litigation; employment law; tax law; complex licenses, contracts and agreements; data privacy and data security; and even writing judicial decisions.
Early in his career, Lee realized his goal was to serve clients on a personal level to the extent that his expertise would positively affect people on a personal level, as opposed to a removed and impersonal legal service. Lee focuses on small to mid-sized technology companies due to his technical background the enjoyment of working closely with his clients to craft a tailored solution to each challenge. The bond of trust Lee established with his clients is paramount in his business method to maintain the role of the “go-to guy” for his clients needs.
When Lee is not working, he likes spending time with his family in the outdoors as much as possible. Lee also enjoys travel and supporting various charities, especially charities that help kids.
GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
We believe serving the community is important. Lee loves volunteering here at home as well as internationally. Lee is very active in his community and really enjoys volunteering to aid children. For example, Lee worked with immigrant children in Oakland for many years. Lee recently traveled to Mexico with a large group of teens to build houses for impoverished families at Mexico and looks forward to his next trip to do it again. Lee has also worked with orphans in Nairobi, Kenya and with female children in Bangkok, Thailand to successfully break them out of sexual slavery and assist them to start and learn a new way of life. He has also assisted in supporting, rehabilitating and protecting rescued, endangered and at-risk animals and habitats all over the world, including Asia, Africa, Australia and Antarctica.
